Your donations and gifts of your time are critical to our success. It takes a lot to run a private nonprofit Humane Society each year! Being privately funded, yet also operating as the local “animal shelter” in Union County, we are the only facility for strays in the County. Here are some of our needs and how you can help.

Financial Donations

KENNEL AND CAT ROOM SPONSORSHIPS

We offer Kennel and Cat Room Sponsorships for the year. For $400, you can sponsor a kennel or have your name displayed in the cat room. Your contribution will help UCHS provide the best possible care for the dogs and provide you with the personal reward knowing that you helped those in need! It's a great family or civic group project!

If you would rather stop by UCHS during open hours, we accept all major credit cards. If you email info@uchspets.org ahead of time, you can have a personal tour of the shelter.

Ohio Pet License Plates

The Ohio Pet License Plates are vehicle registration tags that raise funds for education, spay and neuter of pets for low-income families, and for dogs and cats adopted from qualifying agencies.

Even if you have just renewed your license plates, you can still buy the plate for $25. Simply visit your deputy registrar's office, or call 1-800-589-TAGS.

Donation of Supplies

We are always grateful for donated supplies:

Our dogs eat 5 tons of food a year!!
Our kittens and cats use more than 96 lbs. of litter a week - that's 2.5 TONS per year.
We use more than 31,000 paper towels per year to keep our shelter safe and clean.
