Union County Humane Society: Proud Partner of the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love Program
Hill's Science Diet Shelter Program

At the Union County Humane Society, our mission is to provide exceptional care and find forever homes for the lost, unwanted, injured, and abused animals in our community. As a no-kill organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters and partners to continue our lifesaving work. We are thrilled to be a part of the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love Program, which provides significant benefits to our shelter and the animals we serve.

Through this partnership, Hill’s Pet Nutrition supplies our foster families with premium Science Diet® pet food at no cost, ensuring that every dog and cat in our care receives science-led nutrition tailored to their specific needs. This high-quality diet helps our animals thrive, improving their health, energy, and appearance, which makes them more adoptable. Since 2002, Hill’s has provided over $300 million worth of food to shelters across North America, helping more than 15 million pets find loving homes, and we’re proud to be part of this impactful initiative. The program also supports our adopters by providing free take-home bags of Hill’s Science Diet pet food, ensuring a smooth transition for pets into their new homes. This helps set up our animals and their families for long-term success, fostering healthy, happy bonds. Additionally, Hill’s offers resources like their New Pet Parent website, packed with tips to guide adopters through those critical early days with their new companions. How Hills Pet Nutirition Helps Shelter Pets Find Forever Homes.

By participating in the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love Program, we can allocate more of our resources to veterinary care, spay/neuter services, and community outreach programs, like our animal therapy initiatives and low-cost spay/neuter clinics. This partnership not only nourishes the animals in our care but also strengthens our ability to serve Union County and beyond.

We are grateful for Hill’s commitment to animal welfare and for every pet food purchase that supports this program. Together, we’re giving our community’s animals a second chance at a brighter future. When you give, they live—and with Hill’s, they thrive.
