Meet Nala! A spirited sweetheart with a soft side. This energetic girl loves to stay active, but she also knows how to settle down and enjoy the cozy life- give her a plush blanket or a cozy bed and she'll happily curl up for some well-earned relaxation. During her time in a foster home, Nala showed just how loving she truly is. She's a total snuggle bug that forms strong bonds with her people and has a naturally protective nature when it comes to her family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side, Nala might just be your perfect match. Nala is highly food motivated, which makes her a great candidate for training. She's eager to learn and would thrive with consistent guidance and positive reinforcement. She enjoys going on walks, though she can get a bit excited and pull on the leash- but with some patience and training she's got all the potential to become an excellent walking buddy. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for Nala, making her anxious in this environment. She has shown mixed reactions to dogs, doing well with some but needing space with others. Because of Nala's high prey drive, she would do best in a home without cats or other small animals. While she appears unhouse-broken in her kennel, Nala has shown great habits in more home-like settings and in foster care, keeping her space clean- so we believe she will transition well into a home routine. Above all, Nala is a very sweet, affectionate girl who just wants to be loved. With time, patience, consistency and of course delicious treats, she will blossom into an incredibly devoted and well-rounded companion.
