Working Together to Stop Abuse and Neglect|
The Union County Humane Society works closely with county dog wardens and ACT Ohio (the humane agent) to help stop abuse and neglect.
Union and Logan County residents may contact us and we will refer them to the appropriate organization, or they can directly contact one of the these
agencies. Not sure where to call? That's okay - we all work together and we will get you to the right agency.
Union County Dog Warden
Please contact the Dog Warden at 937.645.3016 for any dogs running at large.
The Union County Dog Warden will respond to capture stray dogs (dogs running at large)
and respond to animal bites to take a report of the incident.
Logan County Dog Warden
Please contact the Dog Warden at 937.592.5731 for any dogs running at large.
UCHS works with ACT Ohio (the Animal Cruelty Task Force of Ohio), which provides specialized humane agents who can help enforce the abuse/neglect laws in Union County.
Contact ACT Ohio to report abuse/neglect cases at www.actoh.org and click REPORT ABUSE.
Union County Humane Society
The Union County Humane Society houses all dogs impounded by the Union County Dog Warden and strays brought in by the public.
We also house and care for abused/neglected animals that are seized in Union County. With a 90% adoption rate, our mission
continues to connect animals with people, enrich lives, and
support the community through spay/neuter programs, education, and disaster response.
