Your Donations and Gifts of your Time are Critical to our Success|
It takes a lot to run a private nonprofit Humane Society each year. Being privately funded, yet also operating as the local “animal shelter” in Union County,
we are the only facility for strays in the County. Here are some of our needs and how you can help.
Financial donations are absolutely critical to our success! We have a $300,000 budget and it all comes from people just like you!
Make a secure payment with your credit card; no PayPal account required.

BY MAIL OR IN PERSON
If you prefer to mail a check, write “donation” in the memo line and send to:

If you would rather stop by UCHS during open hours, we accept all major credit cards. If you email firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of time,
you can have a personal tour of the shelter.

OHIO PET LICENSE PLATES
The Ohio Pet License Plates are vehicle registration tags that raise funds for education,
spay and neuter of pets for low-income families, and for dogs and cats adopted from qualifying agencies.
Even if you have just renewed
your license plates, you can still
buy the plate for $25. Simply visit
your deputy registrar's office, or
The more plates the Ohio Plate Fund sells, the
more animals they can help. Learn more, or order now, at PetsOhio.com.

HOST A SUPPLY DRIVE
There are a variety of ways to host a Pet Supply Drive. . . the only limits are your imagination! Check out more Pet Supply Drive ideas.
Once your group or business collects items or donations, our staff can arrange pick up. We would also be happy to give a presentation on our shelter, dog safety or pet care. We’ll bring a shelter friend with us if you’d like!
Or, you are welcome to bring items to UCHS during open hours and have a tour of our facility and meet some new furry friends!
Gifts of Time and Talent
Your time is just as valuable as money and supplies, particularly if you have a certain skill that we can use! Just like any other facility, we have repair issues, maintenance issues and things just happen to break down and fall apart. If you can donate your time to help with these sorts of things,
or with adoption events, special events, dog walking or anything else, please submit a volunteer application. |
Steps for becoming a volunteer at the Union County Humane Society:
You will be invited to attend a volunteer session after your application is reviewed by our volunteer coordinator.
Volunteer orientation sessions are normally held the second Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm at the shelter.
If you don’t receive a response within 72 hours of submitting your application, please check your spam folder as all applications are responded to.
Email any questions to Tracey Freeland at email@example.com. Thank you.
We thank the Union and Logan county communities for their willingness to help.
